Dame Margaret Hodge DBE MP is a British Labour Party politician. She has been a Member of Parliament since 1994 and in the 2010 General Election defeated the BNP candidate Nick Griffin in her Barking constituency. She was the first female elected chair of the Public Accounts Committee in Parliament from 2010-2015 and a former government minister for education, work and pensions, business and culture.
